"The Producers" is open and the reviews are in!

This morning I arrived at the theatre with more notes and messages than I have ever received following an opening night. I have decided to post them here for everyone to read. I have left names off to protect the innocent. If you have a comment about, “The Producers” please feel free to leave a comment on this entry. If you want to you may select anonymous and your name will not be revealed.

Here are three of the comments I walked into this morning.

I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know how much my husband and I enjoyed the performance last evening. We have seen many great shows, but last night's show was one of the best ever. If it is possible to pull a muscle from laughing or get bruised hands from applauding, we may have last night. Well done!
Keep up the great work.

To the great cast, directors and everyone who was involved......

We have not quit talking (and laughing) about the outrageously funny opening night of "The Producers"...simply an outstanding performance!!!! We all agree this was THE best production ever!!!

On behalf of everyone who attended last night and those who will be attending..."BRAVO times a million!" Thank you is not sufficient - Quincy is forever thankful and happy to have such dedicated citizens to give such a performance - we are without words!!! This was BIG stage worthy talent and entertainment!

  3. Dominic and the cast and crew of "The Producers" has set the bar at a new level. Speaking as someone who has seen this show professionally performed (and paid for) Quincy has been blessed by the gods of comedy. There was absolutely nothing to find fault for in the show last night. From the first downbeat of Larry's baton to the final flicker of light from the booth, the show was the best Quincy Community Theater has ever offered. I am sure that this show will sweep the Quiltas.
I think it is important for the people of the tri-states to realize that this caliber of performance is only possible due to the continued financial support of the fans of live theater.
So if you have not seen the show, get there! If you haven't contributed money lately, why not? There is NOWHERE you could get your money's worth better than any seat at this theater. If you are looking for magic it is waiting at the Oakley Lindsay Center.
    Standing ovation mandatory. BRAVO!

  4. I wish I had seen the show last week. I would have come to see it again. The Producers was OUT OF THIS WORLD.

Once again, I am truly impressed by the entertainment quality of the Quincy Community Theatre. When I left the theatre today after seeing the show (for the 3rd time), I nearly expected to walk out onto the street of a much larger city. I hope people realize how much we are blessed in this town by the talent and dedication of many fine actors, technical personnel, musicians and direction. I tell all of my friends to take advantage of this opportunity and go to the theatre. Once more, kudos to you all on a truly fine performance.
